These are student recorders of older design but good quality, sweet and reedy in tone quality, with a very simple modern external profile and rather large straight windways.

These instruments were designed by the late Hans Coolsma as modernized interpretations of the Bressan style, with a slightly curved, highly conical windway; they have a light, rich, reedy tone quality, are excellent baroque style solo instruments at a moderate price, but are not well suited to ensemble use.

These are artist quality instruments with the celebrated Coolsma profile, having slightly curved, highly tapered windways; they are extremely bright, reedy, and concentrated in tone quality. They are provided with deluxe fitted hard cases. They are excellent professional instruments for both solo baroque music and contemporary recorder literature. The outstanding reproductions of original Terton soprano and Bressan alto baroque recorders at low pitch, based on originals owned by Franz Brueggen, have recently been added to this series of handmade instruments. Mr. Coolsma made very few of these reproduction baroque instruments during his lifetime, and it is gratifying to have instruments made to his designs available once again.
